I just found a lesser-known Bowie film called the Linguini Incident. I bought it for 4 bucks.

Overrated my rear ...Bowie influenced just about everything outside of But Rock in the 70's and 80's and released a stunning amount of work from 69 to 80 that few can say is not genius on some levels.

He has dropped off in recent years but he could have hung his hat on his 70's work and retired and he would still be a legend...in fact if it wasn't for Roxy Music, The Velvet Underground and Bowie most of the later music scenes may never have come around at all.

This coming from someone who says Michael Jackson is the greatest legend of them all...musically and socially.

Well, if we are going to compare let's do a tally...

Legendary albums released by Bowie: 8? maybe 9?

Legendary albums released by Michael: 1? Maybe 2 if you count Off The Wall?

I don't count his Jackson Five material because he was just recording what was given to him at that point in his career.

good point, Aladinsane!
Moreover,
Bowie is a legend within his pioneer music only,
that's why he only issued among the music society.
Not in the dirty magazines like Jackson!
IMHO for sure

the accent of icelandic words falls in almost all cases on the first syllable. the exceptions are

1.words that have the negative prefix "ó-" meaning "un-" as in "unwilling" eg óhreinindi
2.words that have the prefix "all-" meaning "rather" or "very" eg allfeginn

in these two cases, the accent falls equally on the first two syllables or mainly on the second syllable.

It's also coming from someone with their own opinion.
David Bowie does nothing for me.

Does anyone else love that labirynth film he was in?

YES.. I loved it. Haven't seen it in ages. Almost forgot about that.

I like his music... or at least the older stuff. I'm not aware of anything new from him.

You should think before you talk.I love Michael Jackson even more than NiftyGibbon, and I love David Bowie.

DB has really too much class (at least during the 80's). He's a real gentleman, and he has such a special voice.

It's just strange that you get so upset when someone says MJ is overrated yet you are doing it yourself to Bowie...more contradiction I see.
