forget those 2 movies, those are pretty crappy. check out The Man Who Fell to Earth and Merry Xmas Mister Lawrence. those are probably the best movie performance from Bowie.

the accent of icelandic words falls in almost all cases on the first syllable. the exceptions are

1.words that have the negative prefix "ó-" meaning "un-" as in "unwilling" eg óhreinindi
2.words that have the prefix "all-" meaning "rather" or "very" eg allfeginn

in these two cases, the accent falls equally on the first two syllables or mainly on the second syllable.

I own a copy of Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence...I can't find The Man Who Fell to Earth in my town (and I don't have to money to buy the DVD set right now)...I'm getting that with the DVD set of his videos and stuff as soon as I raise the funds.

Indeed, Bowie is a god. I'm going to see him in concert in a couple of months, and a friend asked me the other night what Im hoping to hear the most. It was a hard question, with far too many possible answers, but I had to plump for Ziggy Stardust.

I think I'm going to move to the other side of the Atlantic so I can be there for his tours.

Man, I hate living in the middle of nowhere.

Hell, it can't be so bad that you'd consider moving to Scotland!

The tickets are pretty expensive, and I've got to see him at my least favourite venue, but at least our tickets are standing, so I might actually get fairly close. Saying all that, I gave lots of money to one of my friends a few weeks ago & still havent seen any tickets...................
