If you have the time after the performance, go up and talk to the musicians. Let Cecil know it's your first ever concert. He should enjoy hearing that.
One thing, if you talk to Marshall Allan expect to hear a lot about the man from Saturn, Sun Ra.
By the way, when you're telling your grandkids about your first concert being Cecil Taylor, don't fail to give a shout out for Satchmo.

I will certainly talk to them.
 , I invited a Jehovah's Witness couple to come, they even made reservations. However, I recieved a call from them a few minutes ago saying that they were cancelling. Apparently, they listened to samples of Unit Structures on amazon.com and changed their mind .
So is no one here else going tonight then?

Roivas is in NY, but who knows. He is probably staying in, and drinking some Aberlour a’bunadh.

Yeah...we had a great time, but we got caught in the snow. I really enjoyed the performance, and I did speak with him afterward. Our conversation was exactly this:
Me:Hey
Cecil: Hi how are ya
Me: Fine, How are you?
Cecil:Good
Me: I jsut want to say that I really enjoyed the show, this is my first live performance and I thought it was just incredible.
Cecil:Thanks, what's your name?
Me: Blah blah blah
Cecil: And what do you play?
Me: I have played several instruments, I'm currently learning to play the guitar, but I have played bass, flute, trumpet, and drums.
Cecil:...and the drums...wow.
Me: Yeah
Cecil: Well, stay well man (extends his hand and we shake hands)
Me:You too.

In regards to the drums, his style is turning the piano into 88 individual drums. He plays the piano, like a percussion instrument.
We expect a more detailed report tomorrow.
