Riktigt äkta

1992
This is the easily THE best prog. rock album since the 90s, and probably my all time favourite album from the genre.
1. I nattens timma - calm, laidback, atmoshperic a prog. fan's perfect lullaby.
2. Skogsrået - again showing that laidback restraint. A great tune.
3. Ett träd - this is the song that turns this album from excellent to legendary. Post-rockish buildup. This song is almost crushing in its restraint. If you've heard Opeth's track Closure you will have an idea of the way this song plays out.
4. Vår häll - again great melodies, use of mellotron(which is something I really don't care for much, but I love in this album)
5. Visa från Kallsedet - see track #4 except add booming bass.
6. Undrar om ni ser - this track eeriely reminds me of King Crimson's Epitaph. Not in a ripoff way though.
7. Tillbaka - this is an additional track to the original release. It is also the shortest and most upbeat track on the album. The riff on this is terribly catchy. This is the track to check out off this album.
Had this album been released during the 70's then Landberk would most surely have come up in a lot of top prog. lists. Beyond essential.
Score: 10/10

Lonely Land

1992
This is simply the english version of Riktigt äkta with the addition of the track 'No More White Horses'. The songs sound much better in swedish and the lyrics aren't that good anyway, which makes this album the only one on their discography that can be passed up.
'No More White Horses' features a bit more lively music than the rest of the album but otherwise is nothing exceptional, especially against the majesty of their debut. It is a cover of a 70's prog. band called T2, which might excuse the bad lyrics.

One Man Tells Another

1994
With this album the band changed their sound from mellotron heavy/70s symphonic prog. to a heavier guitar oriented sound. The progression in sound could loosely be compared to that of King Crimson's from ITCOTCK to Red. This album is a bit inconsistent to the extent of being boring at places and the singing is nothing amazing.
1. Time - very catchy, upbeat, folky melody.
2. Kontiki - this track is what invites the comparisons to Red.
3. Mirror man - brooding and slow. Not too memorable, but not too bad either.
4. You are - one of my favourites from the album, builds up as it goes on.
5. Rememberence - the worst track on the album.
6. Valentinsong - slow, moody and depressing. Its a bit too long. Similar to Opeth's songs on Dammnation, but they did half a dozen years earlier

7. Tell - their best song ever. The opeining best riff I've ever heard. This track is the reason to get this album. A bit of jamming like in Wilco's new album. The playing is so amazing that it is almost disappointing when the singer comes up. This track has been on repeat for months on my playlist.
Score: 6.5/10 + Tell + Tell + Tell + Tell + Tell + Tell.
Download 'Tell' right now people!!!!

Indian Summer

1996
They find their signature sound in what is their last album till date(they seem to have borken up now). This is overall a stronger album that One Man with very impressive songs like 'All Around Me' the rockier '1st of May' and the very impressive 'Dustgod'(which could have been a huge single if they had been a more popular band). The singer sounds a lot like the U2 guy in this album. There is no boring parts on this album unlike their previous full length.
Score: 8/10
