Moving On From Reason 2.5

Now Ive know there is alot more I can learn in Reason, and I dont plan on changing till the summer, but the problem is that my version of Reason is bootleg and doesnt recognize any midi input.

So my question is what sequencers are a good transition from Reason? I've thought about just purchasing Reason 3.0, but I really want something with VST support, and I hate the way FL is setup with a passion. Maybe Sonar or Cubasis? Please, any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Hi mate. Nice pic by the way, you seem to have regressed nicely, I reckon best shape for making music to be honest. Anyway aside from that I found Cubase SX an excellent tool for production. Infact the music I produce today is almost entirely done with Cubase because it includes everything smaller programs include in one package. I mean a sampler, a midi sequencer, tools for Audio, LOADS of VSTi's and support for them. I think it's one of the best packages although maybe learning curve is long, but you might be at an advantage because you used reason before so it's not an entirely new concept. But others such as Logic Pro Tools Nuendo are equally as valid, I would suggest maybe trying a few things out an seeing what suits you?

hope it helps ya
