Tatu
I really wish tatu would be themselves instead of pretending to be lesbians. Its obvious that they were told to do that just get publicity. I mean they have boyfriends! One of them even went as far as saying "I have a boyfriend with normal sexual desires". Nice choice of words, huh? Its really demeaning to us real dykes that lesbians are being portrayed as sex objects for men (which defeats the point entirely) to lust over. Its bad enough that certain tabloids (Sun, Star, Sport - quote " ..Anne Heche is a reformed Lesbo(!)" ) already see us that way yet at the same time they are blatently homophobic, whether they care to admit it or not. The same goes for mens magazines, and even some womens. It seems that its ok for girls to sleep with girls, but only if your boyfriend is watching (amongst other things...).

a lot of men have fantasy of lesbianism and yet they are very homophobic and hate gay men. Those men think that they can just cut in and satisfy both girls but they don't understand real dykes dont' want to have anything to do with men at all when it comes to sex. yeah sure, porn movies have tons of 2 girls and one guy or whatever, but they are made by men, for men. stupid mainstream media!
"I have a boyfriend with normal sexual desires", what the hell is normal sexual desires? what the hell is normal anyway? according to whom's standard? the regular joe next door? the preacher who preaches about sin in a church? that's a dumb statement. I guess they are compelled to say that because they need to survive in this male dominant society. anything that doesn't fit right with what MAN thought is damned to be wrong.
Anne Heche is reformed... don't they know there is a thing called bi-sexual?
in a perfect world, people can love and fock whoever/whatever they want without getting stared at.

but yeah, they should drop the obvious, i agree totally with you miss c... demeaning indeed.
and they should go electroclash too.

I could never understand why some people hate others just because they are gay. Why should anyone care? Most of them probably have a gay/lesbian friend and don't even know it. As for T.A.T.U., it was an interesting gimmick to get noticed, but they really shouldn't carry on the charade if they are not lesbians. I do like some of their stuff, though.

Sex sells. There's nothing more sexy than 2 foreign hotties kissing each other. It's just a video. Nobody says anything when rappers try to act like gangsters in their music videos. It's entertainment, nothing else.

Actually, I think you'll find people DO complain about rappers pretending to be gangsters. The TATU video isn't "sexy" - the real thing is a far sexier than a bunch of closet hetros being told to do something by their management so that our sophisticated tabloid press put them on the cover of their rags so that they sell more of their 'music'. True, it is entertainment, nothing else, but when real lesbians are treat like nothing more than w##k fodder for hetrosexual men because of these squeaky voiced morons and the rest of the stupid women who do do that for the same reason, then its far from "entertaining" for people like me. Thats all we ever get from the media and their ilk and I for one am sick of it.

I don't like the scene where the 2 males are tongue kissing in the new Christina Aguilera video, so I simply don't watch it. I'm sure it's entertaining to many others, though. "Real" lesbians, like K.D. Lang and Melissa Etheridge are NOT sexy, in my opinion, at all!!! However, they are sexy to a specific audience. It's entertainment, and artists can't please everybody all of the time. Tatu may be lesbians, they may not be. It doesn't matter to me, as I'll never meet them anyway. But their videos are sexy,...........to me.
You do have a good point, though. I understand, yet also disagree.

i didn't neccesarily mean Melissa Ethridge etc. in particular when I said about real being better, there are a lot of others in the world. I don't find them sexy either. Im glad that you find them 'ahem' entertaining, its just annoying for a lot of us. My point is that its insulting that they are pretending to be something they are not, when I have gotten hassle my whole life for the way I am and they can do it without the responsibilities wheras at the same time making it more dificult for real lesbians to be taken seriously.

I don't know about you, but I have no problem with male french kissing or even explicit love scene. most people(specially men) feel uncomfortable because they may find out they totally get aroused by it. once again, insecurity comes into foreground. it is hard to face the truth when deep down they are all closet homos.
