im not questioning whether they are among yours or anyones favourites- clearly they are not- im dismissing the declaration that "1989 sucked for music"- it clearly did not. you admit that these albums are highly influential and important- its a fact.
ihate it when people hide behind "theres no right and wrong, theres no good and bad- its all just opinions"- thats so much bullshite. if you go around spouting off your opinions with no care to them being right or wrong then yure juste wasting yours and everyone elses time and you juste shut your mouth [idont mean any of this to be some kind of aggressive attack, im juste saying]. whether or not you love or dont love Disintegration you would indeed be wrong to dismiss its merits. ilov to slag off Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd all the time but id also be the first to admit their enormous talents, especially where exhibited on their greatest albums. if icouldnt do that iwould be wrong. yes, there is a great grey area when it comes to musical tastes, but albums like this easily surpass it.

Ahem, the thread title is Favorite Albums from the year you were. I happen to feel for e, it sucked for the music I like. i don't like, or am not into almost all of those albums.

It's only in how you look at it. I look at it as it I'm only half way through my life and when you look at it that way I'm not really that old.
