Post Your Top 5 Bill Laswell Collaborations

I just felt like getting this thread going with the intent of making a list at some point, as this is going to require a hell of a lot of thought, given the sheer volume of collaborative recordings made by this man!

For those of you more certain of your top choices, feel free to post or discuss anything about this now legendary producer/bassist/musical madman!

This might help if you're having trouble remembering them all:

Swans - The Burning World

And what a mess he made of that one! Makes the Swans sound like the Coors, or something equally hideous.

His Last Exit stints were cool. The trio with Kenji Hanio & Rashied Ali did not exceed to my expectations, Laswell & Ali were fine, but Hanio is truely "wanking" in the sense of the word. Both of the Arcana discs are fun. Massare was an awesome trio, very fun & "Killing Time" resembled a bit of the Minutemens funky material. That is all I have heard so far.

shhhhh!
I've already effed off for the holidays but this is a thread after Digger's own heart.
So, here goes!

AXIOM-DUB!!!!
mysteries of creation or whatever the hell it's called. I love Laswell best when he does these amazing 'everything but the kitchen sink' spectaculars!! SUCH a wide range of talent!

PRAXIS-Transmutation!!!
waooolloonoiigoiinh!!!!
(I'm so GA-GA over this album, words fail me!)

Zillatron- 'Lord of the Harvest'
Bill probably has less to do with this than Bootsy but I strongly suspect it would NEVER have come out so good if BL hadn't been at Bootsy's shoulder. Basically a Praxis album but Bootsy, hiding behind his Science Fiction Alter Ego is REALLY talking about some important stuff especially his battle with addiction. I've been a Bootsy fan since 'Bootzilla' and I really think this might be the doggone-ist thing he's done.

Massacre-Killing Time
Power Trio goes berserk!!!
Laswell's playing is a surprise. Frith's isn't but I'd listen to Frith saw his guitar in HALF (and probably have!)

Tough to only pick one more but I'm gonna single out:
Ginger Baker- Horses and Trees
yeah, it's not so great but I've been apeshit for Ginger Baker since I was wearing 'Batman' T.shirts. Laswell and Nicky Skoppelloltiongououjitkjskis dominate but Baker's playing is STRONG and STEADY, it sounds like a gentle redemption, it really does.

Honorabooble Mentions!!!
Tabla beat sound system (Tablas sound NEAT!)
Material - Hallucination Engine (more Tabla's but such a neat sensibility, you know? it's like non-wimpy new agey easy listening jazz but it's really substantial, you know?)
Hakim Bey- T.A.Z. - a little goes a long way. Maybe a whole album's worth of Hakim wasn't such a great idea but I think he was the real backbone of the AXIOM label. His 'creativity revolution' liner notes REALLY made those first few l.p.s on the label FEEL like a revolution.

one more. that 'Hardware' album on Black Arc. Bootsy and Buddy Miles and I forget who else.
Get really drunk and you'll SWEAR it's Hendrix!!!!

thanks for starting thread!
I love that guy!
now back to my regularly scheduled effing off!
over and out!
