Top (Electronic) Albums of 2004

I dont think too many more albums will be coming out in the next week so how about we reflect on the year that's past? List top 5, 10, or do whatever you like. I suppose we could have some way of scoring them and come up with a consensus, but who wants to be official anyway?

Einstürzende Neubauten - "Perpetuum Mobile"
Venetian Snares - "Huge Chrome Cylinder Box Unfolding"
Pan Sonic - "Kesto (234.48:4)"
Keef Baker - "The Widnes Years"
Damn, I have to get more electronic music. Most of the electronic I have that isn't ambient is kinda old I guess. I will probably check out some of the albums on other people's lists in this thread.

Greetings from Florida. i am just checking in on you guys. found that my grades were sufficient to my liking. i have achieved a 3.4 GPA so i guess im happy. anyhow, back to the list. i have been checking out a lot of older material..especially Ulrich Schnaus' "Isolated Strange Place" album. i love it. but i must say that's quite a list there Josh. mine would be a bit different though. i am going to think on my toes here..i haven't really compiled anything over time. so here it goes..
(i know this will be similar to my previous post on the 2004 releases but a few choices have changed)

1. Helios - Unomia
2. Milanese - 1 Up
3. 3Tronik - Mirror (sutemos)
4. Proem - Socially Inept
5. Ilkae - Stained Glass Confetti EP (monotonik)
6. Team Shadetek - Burnerism
7. Erast - Goodair/Minimissing

my time is out on this compuer..it automatically shuts down...friggin

I believe that I have heard a good bit of those, at least once.

To be more accurate, one or both of my daughters were playing them around me. I think, that they think, they are attempting some sort of underground revolution. I can't call it a subliminal revolution, with the volumes they listen to them.

However, the Ancient One was the one that hipped them to, Fennesz. You have no idea, just how much it bugs my kids when I hip them to things, which are supposed to be from their generation.
