What do you think is their greatest album? I will likely add a poll to this later.

We haven't had a thread for this already? I guess not...surprising.

It's a tough call for me...their entire catalogue is fantastic. Actually, I doubt I'd be able to vote!

I've only heard "The Great Annihilator" and I liked that, but that's not enough to make a conscious vote, I guess...

I am supposed to be the Ancient One, so why is it, that you're the one that has Alzheimer's?

What's worse is that it's your own thread.

hey hey satchmo, that IS a quite different thread, comparing two bands and comparing the works of one band isn't the same!

Traditionally I go for the earlier, uglier stuff. I'm a sucker for that whole New York 'no-wave' or whatever you call it scene. Still, I think "Greed" showed an interest and capacity in things that surprised me. They were a very interesting outfit. Whooda thunk, judging by 'Raping a Slave' or something that they would actually be capable of beauty? Well, I think that phase of the band starts here.

I was just about to decide on White Light From The Mouth of Infinity until I realized it's not included on your poll, Geryon...

(( You seem to be having this problem a lot lately! ))

I don't know wht the ell is going on. I only have five or so Swans albums so far, and I checked several sites for a Swans discography and these were the only ones I could find. I had the same problem with Venetian Snares, I have three VS albums and the sites I checked for his dicography only listed the ones I have in the poll. Damn.
