Making a mix tape for gym

In my gym class we are doing aerobics again (which is enormously stupid) and we are allowed to make mix tapes to play during aerobics, and until someone brings in a tape, we have to listen to all this country music shit. I made one last year that they "lost" and I am making another. What do you guys think I should put on this one?

a friend of mine used to be on his high school volleyball team (in the early 90s). the only songs i remember him mentionning from their warmup tape were jesus christ pose (soundgarden) and the prince (metallica). i'm pretty sure they'd both do really well for an aerobics class too, especially if you're listening to country at the moment

You need something with a steady beat, that's for sure. It's really hard to work out otherwise.

Anything in the disco vein should work well.

or "Heroin" by Velvet Underground

Arthur Russel might be a good consensus

Heh, the two tapes I made last year were all metal (Converge, Cryptopsy, Opeth, Godflesh, Napalm Death, etc.). Maybe I'll make a tape for each genre that I like this year.

Yeah, metal should work for aerobics because it pumps your adrenaline.

Try Daan's "Housewife" if you can find it on Soulseek, Mr. Geryon... I agree with Zlatko on this: pick something electronic with a steady beat...
