Geezer rap ..... deadly! He may not have the flow of other rap artists. Cockney rap ain't going to have much flow in it anyway, but the guy is talented, and the album is definitely like nothing else I've heard. Fair dues.

Actually, the Streets is one person, AKA Mike Skinner. Great album.

I hate The Streets, but then again I probably shouldn't be posting in this forum at all.

Most of it just seems to me to be rather pretentious - he's on about how he's really original and better than all the pop crap, but really it's just him talking over some looped material. Okay, that's basically what rap / hip hop usually is, but it seems even more drivelous in this case. Original lyrics, maybe, but not /music/.

I do think, therefore, that he is very talented and his lyrical writing is actually very good. One song I /am/ a fan of is The Irony Of It All, it's very well conceived and well written.

Perhaps Mike Skinner should become a poet or a playwright.
