In all honesty, Sondre Lerche's "Two Way Monologue" would have my pick, too. There whole cd is very catchy, I like it a lot.
Both Kings of Convenience and Sondre Lerche are pretty big in the American college radio scene (as are most Astralwerks groups).

kings of convenience are great, but hardly pop. i'll nominate mcfly's room on the third floor, great pop album, and brave because i can't think of any other pop artists today who use 50's and 60's influences in their music, they kick busted's ass any day of the week
