Dantalion's Chariot

They have other good songs, but The Madman Running Through The Fields is one of the best of the genre imo. Any thoughts on this band?

Only have that one song which I like, so can't comment on the rest of their work although they have an anthology CD that covers all their recordings that is also highly regarded. They featured Andy Summers of the Police on guitar.

I got the album and find it way overrated. There a few decent songs but this isn't one of the UK psych gems. Get Kaleidoscope instead, can't go wrong there.

Yeah Kaleidoscope's Tangerine Dream and Faintly Blowing albums are both superb, most of the former and all of the latter can be heard very cheaply on their Dive Into Yesterday comp.

Plus their "Please listen to the pictures" come out this year. Live BBC sessions, excellent stuff

I have the Kaleidoscope album too and it is good also. I still maintain that The Madman Running Through The Fields is a real gem .

I agree. It's become one of my favorite songs of the era since I got the Nuggets box set a few years ago.
