I listen to Dark Ambient alone, usually at night with headphones. My twin brother and cousin like some IDM, so it's "alone" & "With 2 or 3 people max".

same here man. sometimes i just cannot stand being around people. i tend to be classified as the "fall off the face of the Earth" kind of people. nothing wrong with that man. just the way we are.

of course alone. ambient music is so interpretive that it requires full attention as many have already noted.

i particularly like Shuttle 358, Biosphere, Twine, Tim Hecker (well Radio Amor for that matter). i know my list is so static, but these are the biggies.

My new thing is to listen to it in the car. It's newish and has got no rattles, so the sound is good.

I need to beware though, as while listening to the Melatonin album on Room40, I nearly fell asleep. Which is it's purpose, so, well done Room40...

hey, if you like that album on room40, you'd love John Chantler's "Monoke" album. It's GREAT!

I've actually heard a great deal of this album, but don't own it. It is very good. We have really good community radio in Melbourne where they give pretty good coverage to Room40 every now and then. Not hard being Melbourne based, I guess...

I listen to it alone most of the time. No one in my family even takes notice of it.
