Instrumental of Boom Boom Boom

I have the mp3 of it, and I need the instrumental. I've tried every trick (All the plugins, as well as my own try in soundforge). I can't seem to get the voice out. The weird thing is that it seems like no matter what frequency I take out, the voice is always there, but not even distorted. It's like his voice is on a different track and soundforge won't edit it...

I heard that if you can get a realplayer version of it the voice will be on a different track and you can delete it easily, but I can't find one. Any of you DJ's have it?

The song is Boom Boom Boom by the Outhere Brothers

I had never read this topic so far!

You won't get the voice out, never, it's impossible, bro!

I can tell you why if you like, but remember that you're wasting your time. It's impossible, full stop.

Haha

Yeah I get people coming into work every now and then asking me to do that for them... I can make the vocals 'really' quiet, but thats about it. There's no wonder drug to take them out unfortunately.

The Pacemaker add-in for Winamp seems to quiet vocals down nicely. You still hear them very faintly in most cases, but that might work for you.

The main problem with those sort of plugins is that they just limit a certain frequency, they cut it out. So you sacrifice a lot of audio quality by using these plugins, because traditionally the downmixes of most tracks these days have the vocals floating around the mid ranges, where the majority of your instruments can be found.

Cut out the vocals, and you make that phat guitar/synth/drum/pipe riff sound washed out.

The only solution? Get your hands on the original recording!

Exclamation Synthesis? Arithmetic?

Does anyone know anything about Linear Arithmetic Synthesis? All I know is that you start with a digital pulse instead of a wave. The rest is like "Math" and your ear. What is it supposed to soud like? Desperate. I've owned one of these things for years and all I've used is the regular wave synthesis tweaking internal tones. It's a Roland D-70 90's edition. Thanks.
