well i would have to say some of eminems songs are closer to hip hop then most any other mainstream rappers. Hip hop has always been more then just music, its a lifestyle, a way of thinking, a movement. So yea for someone to say eminem isnt hip hop I think thats inacurrate, is he a pop star yes, but that doesnt make him not hip hop...

Just like many artists, Eminem had his peak. I personally think that his peak was Marshall Mathers LP and since then slowly got more pop. His stuff isnt bad, its just not as good.

Claiming that 98% of his shit is pop, is just ignorant.

His underground 2003/2004 mix tapes are the real deal... and even his latest CD has a few good tracks that shouldnt be classfied as poppy.

I personally think Em is shaking up the hip-hop industry with his new album.
(don't bash unless you've heard the entire album. Obviously I'm not referring to the single)

the hottest there is...

well,
i don't know about old, but i know he's gay. now i have nothing against gay people but i think if he just came out of the closet he could pull a whole new crowd. i mean, he's diss'd blacks and they still listen, he's diss'd whites and they still listen, so what has he got to lose? it seems that no matter what he does, his gay aura protects him from evil! maby he is a super hero "fairy man"

Eminem has been lacking, his last album that I enjoyed was The Marshall Mathers LP.

The first single from his new album is awful. Anyone who tried to make up something catchy within a minute might come up with that and wouldn't be proud of it. It really seems like Eminem isn't even trying anymore. Especially when I hear that track.

I can't really listen to Eminem anymore. His subject matter doesn't seem to change and his beats are getting too similar. He has to change that. And a lot more.
