Most Orioinal Guitarist/Bassist

Who are some guitarists or bassists you think have the most original and creative style and music to represent that? Some people who think outside of the box while making music.

Actually, Page just ripped off Eddie Phillips of The Creation. He was doing that shit in mid-'60s. Nothing too original there.

What about Charlie Hunter? He has a specially made eight string guitar that allows him to play both bass notes and chords at the same time.

Charles Mingus isn't No. 1!

Koussevitsky didn't even make the list!

I love Mingus, and as far as bassist-leaders go, he is on top. However, I was judging them solely on how they approached their particular instrument, and how much influence they exerted on other players. He's still in the top 10.

I figured that you'd have noticed by now that my knowledge of / familiarity with modern classical music pales in comparison to my Jazz experience (( which of course, is still fairly limited compared to Satchmo and Geoff. )) I only listen to a handful of Russian composers...and so far, Koussevitsky's not one of them!

So when do we get to see your list, Roivas?
