No. In Australia there is a TV show called pop stars where they get people to audition to be in a group chosen by judges. It's pretty lame.

Its our fault you've got all of those shows because reality TV started in britain. So far we've had popstars, pop idol and popstars the rivals and fame academy. And that's only music ones!

I suppose you have Big Brother? We've had 3 regular series with a new one in the pipeline and 2 celebrity editions. Not to mention the salon (in ... a salon), jamie's kitchen (in a kitchen), and "i'm a celebrity get me out of here" (my favourite, a bunch of annoying d-list half-famous arseholes left in the amazon).

BTW Avril is signed to her record label as a folk artist apparantly. There is NO way in hell you can compare her to Alanis:

"he was a boy, she was a girl, can I make it any more obvious?" THEN she goes on to explain more! That's just stupid.

Lol. That interview was funny.

Anyhow, the whole deal is kinda sad. A lot of people actually go out and buy this manufactured pop stuff. Which in turn means that people are turning into mindless zombies.

Pretty soon there'll be hordes of them out there on the streets, crying for brains...

Hehe, as far as I know the Big Brother concept was from John de Mol, he sold it to the rest of the world (or set it loose). I have my hitman hunting for him .
I only watched BB1 (maybe 10 eps (first 9 last 1)) and after that it is very blurry, I remember domething about BB4 or 5 and then came Starmaker....and then Idols.
Ow yeah we had also a program called de Bus (the bus), a bunch of morons in a (you guessed it) bus with a lot of camera's.....

I think that you get my reason not buying a new tv after mine broke down a couple of months ago.
