David, he's talking about the release "Stud Stim" by Goem, on Raster-Noton.

Have you listened to Byetone's material? If you can, check out "feld" on Binemusic, and if you get the chance, check out everything else on that label.

I've been listening to Alva Noto's Transform today, and I think it sounds pretty good. I mean, I don't know how to critique such music, there's no standard to compare it to. All I can say that it kept my attention throughout and I wanted it to last longer.

oh, and I heard that mille plateaux had gone bankrupt?

Thanks for the recommendation, Josh -- I've been neglecting my electronic section for far too long. These guys seem like just what I need to get me buying again!

yes, Mille Plateaux went bankrupt about a year or two ago, but now someone has (not sure) has brought it back as MillePlateauxMedia. They just released the new Clicks and Cuts 4 album...great stuff.

Yes, well...there were a whole lot of electronic experimentalists. I can't be expected to know all of them! (( this is your department, after all ))
