Max Richter - The Blue Notebooks

Although M. Richter's music goes more towards the 'modern classical' direction, it contains quite a bit of ambient elements in it as well. That's why I put it on this thread.

I love this guy's work.

well check the other 3 cd's in the box set out as well...(morals and dogma is one of the cd's in the box set)
This was also released as a stand alone album (his most recent) and it kicks ass too. What's the rest of the box like though?

Most Definitely. That album was one of my faves when it came out and I still listen to it from time to time. I had a copy of his 'Memoryhouse' a few years back, but the album was selling for high dollar, so I sold it, unfortunately. I think I have a cd-r of it somewhere though...I think it's reworks of other composers material (which is fine by me).

I know he's worked in the 'Piano Circus' with Steve Reich and Terry Riley in the past.

Yeah, it was released as a single disc and was disc 4 in the self-titled Deathprod 4 cd box set.

It's been awhile since I've heard the rest of the box set, so Kandoo might be a better source

It's a shame you sold it, but at least you sold it for a good price.
Yep, he's worked with Vashti Bunyan on 'Lookaftering' as well (I like her folk music a whole lot).
