Budd's last piece of work, it is a jewel, indeed.

Stalker is very good as well. That is the only thing from Robert Rich I have heard. Any other recommendations by him?

well Rich is usually on the light side of ambient unlike his contemporary Lustmord on that album. I'd probably relate him closer to Steve Roach than anyone else. He has a 3 disc album called 'Humidity' that's pretty good. Other nice albums would be 'Seven Veils', 'Trances/Drones' & his album with Alio Die called 'Fissures' is quite nice. He has a huge discography, so it's really hard to recommend. I tend to like the whole thing, so check those out if you'd like and then possibly go from there. He has a bit of a tribal aesthetic to his sound at times, but he's usually just a minimally ambient artist that sometimes experiments with acoustic piano pieces here and there.

if you like the tribal type of ambient, i'd recommend Arbre Noir or Steve Roach...or even more experimental would be Dirk Serries moniker Vidna Obmana.

If you want ambient that will pretty much lull you to sleep each and every time, i'd suggest anything and i mean ANYTHING by Mathias Grassow. His work with ex-Popul Vuh guy Klaus Wiese is good along with Wiese's solo albums.

...ok, anyway yeah.

The Caretaker 'Theoretically Pure Anterograde Amnesia' [album]

Brilliant physical album of the web release. Comes in a DVD wallet with 6 cd's of material. Lovely design and packaging. Only 250 were produced (but Jim hasn't said that he won't make any more)

Recommended, just like all the other 'The Caretaker' material.

(you can actually download some of the full releases)
