i like certain kind of dark ambient (a tour de lune, new organic life, yidin, some very dark minimal stuff by rafael toral...)
but recently i have noticed a HUGE amount of people making dark ambient like it was an intro for a shitty death metal song or like music for a bad american horror movie. metal heads, goths and people from the darkness make dark ambient that i find cheap and cheesy.

Also, have you listened to one of his newest albums called "I end forever"? It's beat oriented, almost IDM-ish, kind of cool since he's never tried that.
I'll list some more later on

I don't have 'Sleep Therapy Treatment Box Set', unfortunately. I'd like to know about your experience first.
I have 'I End Forever'. I'm most partial to Patterns Emerging 1 &2.
