Sorry to be late on this, but I agree. Dave has a solid voice, and his band is amazing. What a dumb comment to make.

Let's make a difference here between voices we don't like or voices that are just bad. I mean, I don't really like Cristina Aguilera but i can't say she has a bad voice.
To me Enrique Iglesias has a terrible voice. All the ex Spice Girls except Mel C. also suck.

Comparing vocal talent of Dave Matthews to Britney Spears is dumb.

It's not her voice so much as her patented exaggeration of her highs that is so friggin' annoying. She adds all these 'wowowoowoo' as if it adds to her voice, but it is so damn comical they make fun of her on SNL now for it.

Neil Young has a horrible voice as well. It's like he talks more than sings the songs sometimes, and he has this annoying accent that drawls over the words he says.
