My fave, if I can use it, is M83- Dead Cities, Red Seas, And Lost Ghosts. I realize that the really cool people had it last year but it was just released in the US this year plus it came with a decent enough bonus disc (with the title track) proving that occasionally it does pay to procrastinate.
Others that I really, really liked this year:
Air-Talkie Walkie
Lali Puna-Faking The Books (similar to Neon Golden which is simply an amazing album.
Assemblage 23-Storm
De/Vision-Six Feet Underground
I'm sure there are a couple more but that's all I can think of at the moment.

yeah, it looks like you're into the poppish type electronic sound. I was never really into that, but have to say the m83 album is pretty good. That made my extended list of 2003. I thought that Air album was completely awful, i wanted to throw it across the room, but to each his own

Those are some good releases, Steve, no big problem there, except that Draft 7.30 came out in 2003

Just wanted to clarify, I meant in your leauge in terms of certain sub-genres of the Electronic/Electronic genre. Like those recordings of that belong to my daughters for example. Not my sub-genre for sure.
I really didn't care for this year's Biosphere release. I enjoyed the earlier recordings a lot more.
I know it came out in 2003, but I only picked up Supersilent's 6 this year. An excellent recording, that I highly recommend! Their other recordings 1-3, 4, and 5 are excellent as well!
Yo!

Just checking, do you not any of the others are have you not heard them?
We saw Fennesz a couple times this year. One a solo show at the Victo 2004 festival. The other was a solo and than a duo with Keith Rowe in NYC. Enjoyed all the peformances.
I know his recording Endless Summer is the one that gets the most attention. But I think this one is just as good. Venice is also an excellent recording!
If my schedule allows it, I might be going to see Supersilent on Nov. 4th. It would be the first time.

Well I was going to reccomend you fennesz' Live in Japan recording satch, but since you've already seen him twice hehe...
If you liked fennesz, you should check out Tim Hecker too. I love his "radio amor" release. I think equinox will vouch for it as well.
Also, you have the coolest daughters

I'm going to post a picture of my top of 2003:
So yes, I know of Supersilent's "6" album, and I can't believe you are getting to see them live. I've been a BIG fan of theirs ever since i first heard them on the Rune Grammofon label, one of my favorite labels right now.

...and as you see in the above post, you'll see I picked "live in japan" as my number 3 from last year. I absolutely cherish that album. I also picked up the album he did with Keith Rowe on Erstwhile Records. How are you able to see all these artists? Do you travel miles and miles? Just consider yourself lucky
...and I said in another thread, Fennesz's "Venice" will be in my top 10. Also, if you like Supersilent, I'd recommend the albums by Tore Elgaroy, Maja Ratkje, Arne Nordheim and the 4cd box set of Deathprod's. There are some other great albums on there as well.

Radio Amor is pretty good, but Steve (autpt) likes it much better.
