perhaps, but some avant-garde stuff isn't electronic, while some electronic is categorized as avant-garde...

...strange, indeed. I know you listen to the Genre, but you rarely list anything remotely electronic in your listening schedules. Anything as of late?

Yea, I know it all doesn't go into under that umbrella. So sue me.

I actually rarely list what I am listening to. It could be all the times I get comments of suprise to what it might be.

Thanks to a tape exchange I have an electronic release of this year, but only one, shows how much I know about the genre Anyway, it's Phantom/Ghost's To Damascus and I like it quite a bit...

I like From Zero a lot, but what I really would like to have is his "Bollywood Breaks" vinyl

I guess we listen to different brands of electronic music as I've not heard anything posted yet.

My fave, if I can use it, is M83- Dead Cities, Red Seas, And Lost Ghosts. I realize that the really cool people had it last year but it was just released in the US this year plus it came with a decent enough bonus disc (with the title track) proving that occasionally it does pay to procrastinate.

Others that I really, really liked this year:

Air-Talkie Walkie
Lali Puna-Faking The Books (similar to Neon Golden which is simply an amazing album.
Assemblage 23-Storm
De/Vision-Six Feet Underground

I'm sure there are a couple more but that's all I can think of at the moment.

Good stuff. That's often an overlooked album by Fennesz.
