Arrow Your Top Box Sets

Anyone have any outstanding box-sets that they'd consider "the best" of their collection?

In general, I avoid box sets and most compilations and go straight for the album releases when going through an artists' catalogue, but there are exceptions, such as the "ProjeKcts" and "Great Deceiver" box sets from King Crimson, covering rare and live material from the group...

...but the crown jewel boxes that I own are the "Consecration" and "Last Waltz" box sets by Bill Evans, covering his final live performances...god do they have some beautiful performances on them, among the best recordings he had ever released. Listening to the both make me realize all the more what a tragic loss his death was, especially considering that he died a good 2+ years before I was even born!

How I would've loved to see him live...

...anyway, what are your favorite box sets from your album collection?

Why would anyone have a box set that they didn't consider to be outstanding?

*(( --sigh-- ))*

I've now come to the conclusion that it is Satchmo's personal mission on these forums to undermine every thread I decide to make...some way, somehow...

Let me rephrase the thread for you then. Assuming your house was burning down and you could only retrieve a single box set from your collection, which would it be?

Better?
