Recently picked up Albert Ayler's "Holy Ghost" box set...

...this should keep me occupied for a week or so, as far as my listening's concerned.

There's a box set on the Neon Philharmonic???? Wow...anyway, I have several box sets, and the one I most value is definitely Good Vibrations: Thirty Years of the Beach Boys. I also very highly value my Nuggets and Nuggets 2.

But...as much as I love music, I don't think I'd try to save any of my vinyl or CDs from a burning house. I'd feel very blessed just to save myself and my wife. That's what really counts.

If I never hear anything Brian Wilson related again, it'll be too soon.

Well, pal, as long as ol' algernon and I are on board, it'll be sooner than that...

Yeah..it's a Rhino 2500 piece limited addition and contains "The Moth Confesses". You know, I find myself really enjoying "Moth" in its' entirety more than I did when it was released...it really has some incredibly bitter, melancholic lyrics that flew over me in my younger days. It's interesting to hear the later recordings and easy to understand why they didn't acheive commercial success...they are wild. BTW, Tupper is alive and well in the West Indies filming some kind of documentary and finishing a novel.
