Have you heard the new Seven Steps set? The Philharmonic Hall recordings, that were released as My Funny Valentine & Four and More are included in the proper order and unedited for the first time. I already had the Japanese editions of the rest. Although, the box now has unedited versions of the rest and the usual alt takes. And you can never go wrong with more Miles. I was hoping they would find more live material from the period with Sam Rivers or Wayne Shorter's first days in the group. I am just going to start listening to the the Philharmonic section of the set now. Yo! ![]() |
yeah i been going through that box and it is transitional but more mile is always good like you say. i too had berlin and toyko in the import version that was in the album like cd package. sam is more of an out player than we usally here with miles, and more shorter is always good he really contributed some great compostions to mile second great quintet.
i stil haven't pcked up the 7th ed of penguin guided though.
