Music that has physical effects on you?
doesn't have to be avant garde.
merzbow's 1930 makes my head feel like its going to explode, or im going to go insane. i think it's because of the extreme contrast in pitches
the last track on slint's self titled ep, the droning feedback at the end has the same effect but much more intense.
and washer by slint, gives me musical orgasms (hah). its like i feel everything really intensely, and ive noticed that i start to shake a bit. fucking weird! that and im a sobbing mess the entire length of the song.
is anybody else a freak like me?

I'm allergic to the sound of Whitney Houston's voice. It is a real physical condition. Symptoms include skin rash and mild nausea. I know she's a gifted singer and I'm sure I would enjoy her vocalizations if not for this very real (and painful) allergic condition.

Actually, you're not a freak...I thought I was a freak. Well, I still do. Not the point.
Anyway, Misty Mountain Hop by Zeppelin seriously like makes me feel like I'm HIGH every single time I hear it...hence most of Zeppelin's music...but this song seriously freaks me out. Maybe that's why I like it so much. A musical high. Cheap, and effective.
Also, when I hear Mariah Carey, I go deaf for like 5 minutes. Completely deaf. I sh*t you not. Maybe the screeching has something to do with it...?

Agoraphobic nosebleed and pig destroyer give me a headache because I always listen to music on the loudest volume possible.

There's a certain moment in a song by the Norwegian band Logh that sounds like the noise in my ears when I suffered from sinusitis in my youth... It makes me feel nauseous... even though I like the rest of that cd...
M83's "Gone" is than the nearest to what a musical orgasm should be for me...
And at parties with bad music (usually commercial dance) I tend to feel nauseous after approximately 25 minutes...

Lost Prophets, Bad Charlotte, and Yellowcard makes me physically ill. Like, seriously sick... I hate it with a passion.

I honestly believe that "good" charlotte is THE worst band ever. They paint their faces like clowns and run around "singing" with old people. How much more lame can you get. Besides, the people in the band who actually "play" the music aren't that great. Wonder what the person who offered them a contract was thinking...

I don't know if falling asleep is considered something that might fit in this category, but that's what Isis' Oceanic made me do.
