Artists you've started listening to because of Radio Mute
I can't remember if we have a thread for this already, but here it is again, in any case.
Over the past year, I've acquired quite a bit of music from the artists listed below, prompted by discussions / threads by other Radio Mute members.
The Ex, Roland Kirk, Love, Venetian Snares, Herbie Nichols, Amon Tobin
So, to everyone else, "what artists have you looked into, and grown to love, since becoming a member at Radio Mute?"

My list would be HUGE. At least half of all the music that I have started listening to since I stopped listening to nu metal has been due to RM.

My list would be fairly decent as well. All I have to do is look for Seba, Satchmo and Panbient posts
Here are a few that I have either recently checked out or found I really like in the last year or so, as a result of Radiomute:
Uz Jsme Doma, Xploding PLastix, Jaga Jazzist, A Silver Mount Zion, Ruins

The ones I posted were the first ones that I started listening to as a result of RM, but yes more recently Lawrence Welk.

Just off the top of my head I'd say Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Ryan Adams, Calexico, Pinback, Sepultra, Piano Magic, Mars Volta, Elliot Smith and I actually learned to better appreciate the music of Queen.
There are a lot more but I can't recall them all at this time of the evening.

Someone that I hipped to Rahsaan Roland Kirk, was the one that hipped me to Godspeed You Black Emperor.
It did take him posting their name about 500 times, for me to finally give them a listen.

Do you need to remind of his "correct" name every time?
His birth name is still "Roland Kirk", and it's easier to type quickly...
