Question Lee "Scratch" Perry vs. Mad Professor

I don't think this is too unreasonable of a battle thread, given that they are both two of the most important dub producers of all time (( although Perry the more influential, in the long run )).

That said, this isn't really a thread to compare historal importance or specific artistic acheivements, but a survey of community opions of taste. Essentially, which artist's catalogue do you enjoy more?

I chose Mad Professor. I enjoy Massive Attack vs Mad Professor - 'No Protection'. I've only heard the 'Who Put the Voodoo 'pon Reggae' by Lee "Scratch" Perry.

I really don't think it is a contest. Perry is Da Man! The Mad Professor is his best protégée.

The only true and close comparison would be King Tubby.

Don't you like Mad Professor's 'Trix in the Mix'?

God... How is there a competition? Perry is just, a legend. Musically, culturally, whatever. And he did teach himself to read peoples minds by playing dominoes, you got to respect that.

King Tubby and Perry would be a better match, id probably go with Tubby there...
