Wonderful japanese electronica

Sora - re.sort and Kazumasa Hashimoto - Yupi, respectively.

I've just discovered these two amazing, lush electronica albums.

The first one - re.sort - is largely based on samples from old jazz recordings, chopped up, and mixed with clicks and glitches as well as acoustic instruments such as piano. The whole album is quite calm and tranquil.

The other one - Yupi - is even more harmonic and beautiful. It also uses acoustic instruments to a large extent (I'd say even more so than re.sort), as well as a lot of field recordings and stuff. It's all extremely lush and peaceful.

Uhm... yeah. Anyway, I just wanna know if any of you've heard them, and what you think about 'em.

ahh so, the artist Dextro makes his presence on our boards

love the "animism" ep, good mix of things...

there are a lot of japanese electronic artists that should get exposure that do not.
