I liked the way she walked off and the band kept playing (were they? I dont know) and looked like they were having quite a good laugh too.

Don't a lot of pop stars lip synch in concert anyways? I mean there is no way that they could sing properly while jigglin' and dancin' around at the same time...

I think the only time a lot of them really "sing" is when they are in studio... along with the help of all those wonderful machines they use to make them sound better than they really are.

Not that her opinion means much, and that shes much different than an ashlee simpson in terms of 'poppiness' but here's what avril said to Billboard.com:

"You know what? There are a lot of people out there today, who have become stars or famous musicians -- I wouldn't really define them as a star -- with a record only because they have connections and only because they have money and for the wrong reasons," Lavigne, 20, told Billboard.com.

A lot of that is really true i think, but its very similar to your thoughts. The most telling quote she had in the same interview relates to what you said here:

Quote:

Quoteth Avril:
"Actually, I know for a fact there are some young female artists who don't even sing on their own records and who don't sing live. And that is pathetic."

Don't sing on their own records? Milli Vinillis for Generation Next? This doesn't really suprise me, but it really angers me to know good-looking 17 year old girls are getting rich without any particular talent and are feeding off North America's slow decline into pedophilia.

Having seen the whole thing now, it's absolutely hilarious. "My band started playing the wrong song...." What a pathetic excuse......
