Ha, was on CNN.com and found thi great quote by Ms. Simpson (regarding her thoughts on lip-synching) from Lucky Magazine:

Yeah I agree that people are surprised that this has happened, all the pop stars do it. Did any one notice that the Bass player was not even playing? I guess there are a couple of Fakes in the band. Now that is why I listen to good ol Rock and Metal. At least when I go to a Concert I know they are PLAYING! I don't have to worry about their dance routine getting in the way of their singing

What's surprising is that even with a million dollar marketing team behind her, she still screwed up. You'd think with all they've invested in her, they'd be a bit more careful to protect her image.
