EP7, Grantz Graf, Anvil Vapre and Envane and the Peel Session 2 are like the most underrated pieces of electronic music.

...and on the British release (not american release) there's a hidden song before the very first song. Put it in your cd player, and then hold the rewind button and BAM! you have a song.

I have only heard one song off of EP7 (on launchcast) and I now regret not picking it up last week when I had the chance, even though I got Squarepusher's Hard Normal Daddy.
I like squarepusher, but honestly I have become somewhat obsessed with Autechre.
p.s. What lable is Autechre on now that Nothing Records is no more?

Nothing Records was only the distributor for Warp in the states, because if you notice, there are a couple squarepusher albums/eps put out by Nothing around the same time frame. This was the same prior to that with Wax Trax/TVT for which put out the early Autechre albums over here, if I'm not mistaken. Warp has been the home to Autechre since their first major release "Incunabula" hit the stands. Warp has an office here in the states now, so they don't really need a distributor, although the indy label Matador released a few albums such as Broadcast and Boards of Canada a few years back.

i agree on Second Scepe. i'd like to talk a bit more about EP7 though. i think it is even more diverse than even Draft 7.3..i know it's a strange comment but i feel that there are so many styles on here..more than ever. very rarely has something so mechanical become so emotional..especially when we arrive at the album's pinnacle (in some ways) "Pir." obviously it is the last concluding track..but very well placed. Pir has so much to give. colors, dynamical timbres, several piston like churns and breathing...it's all over.
