Smile Jesse Cook

I'm a big Jesse Cook fan and I love to sit back and listen to his music while I'm studying. Does anyone know of anyone else that would fall into this genre or would be similar? I'm trying to find some other stuff to listen to while studying to that doesn't tempt you to sing along with. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

not that they fall into the genre [far from it, and ihate Jesse Cook so im not gonna be able come up with anything comparable that ienjoy] but Sigur Rós are great to study to- the temptation to sing along nullified by the fact that the lyrics are in Icelandic and a laguage of their own creation, Hopelandic.

I've never heard of him before, can you recommend any key tracks?

allmusic.com has the following artists listed as being similar:

* Willie & Lobo
* Strunz & Farah
* Govi
* Checkfield
* Torcuato Mariano
* Michael Gulezian
* Nicholas Gunn
* Sissel Kyrkjebø
* Bernardo Rubaja

I've not heard of a single one of them, but I'd be interested in finding out more.

jesse cook's genre...? good question!

Hmm... I really wouldn't even know what to guess for his genre tanjello. I don't know about "key" tracks Opehelia but here's a few good ones: Avocado and Breathing Below Surface (my personal fav) and he also does a nice one with Holly Cole - Fragile.
