hmm. i really think it's odd that i do not like Monochrome Plural..but it's the truth nonetheless. i guess it depends on the time that i listen to it because ive found that im liking a lot of stuff i used to dislike...but anyhow it will be interesting to see what they've done on the new album.

i guess my qualms with MP were that it sounded a bit simple...i mean i kind of think they had these wispy layers and such, much like some of the Ghostly International sound (yes i bring it up again) and just put them on top of a little melody with some beats..that yes in fact have some interesting changes here and there..but it just seemed like some kind of gimmick..like they just wanted to throw in the clicks, burrs and hisses. anyway, im sure i just need to keep giving it a listen. i can't say i spent enough time with it to begin with, but those were my thoughts of it.

of course the track that was also put on Squadron off of that album is what drew me in...as i just hear some nice synth moments, but i just found the rest to be as i explained.

come on, you have to say that "microphorus" sounds like nothing else you've heard. Or if you have, it was one of the first.

that's fine. I just really like their approach because it's different than everyone elses.

Keef, if you are reading this post (since i forget the one that you helped me out on) i have another technique for recording in stereo (at least i think it's in stereo) when you have a busted one channeled line in cable. what i did was just plugged the input extension halfway to 3/4 of the way into the port and VOILA!

Mochipet "Uzumaki"

You know, this album really amazed me. I have a feeling this will be in the shadow of the new Component release by Bitcrush, but is a tremendously good album. After "Combat", I kind of dismissed this guy as just a prankster of the likes of Cassetteboy and Otto Von Schirach, but he's really turned a loop on this one. It's IDM, and that's about the only way I can describe it. No tricks here, just good music.
