so all i'm saying is, there's that slight possiblity that BOC could step up and impress their fans (and foes) with something really nice.

I like your comments, but disagree with them. You make some good points (in my opinion), but you can't really compare someone as prolific as Aaron Funk with Boards of Canada. When someone comes out with the same stuff over and over in a short span of time, it sort of makes you feel tired of the same boring thing. Sure, he changed his direction with this full length, but he was already starting to do that with the 'Badminton' and 'moonglow/this bitter earth' 7" on the Addict label a year or two ago. He had a new style in him, he just only showcases it every once in awhile. I think it's worse when a band/group does the same thing but stretches it over time. Why make fans await an album for so long if it's going to have the same type of shit? As said earlier, i loved BOC for awhile, but I just feel like their 'mysterious' persona has gone on too damn long and it would be nice if they were to just say a few words on their 'music70' site about the actual release of this supposed album. But who am I to say anything, I suppose i'm just thinking about myself.
...I hope BOC makes me look like a complete idiot, really, i do.

BOC are Ok, I really don't see why people see them as the second coming of christ though
I agree fully. Even with MHTRTC, while I enjoyed it, I still never understood why people were so into in. It just seemed like a simpler version of a lot of stuff I'd already discovered. I will admit that they have a really beautiful sound, which is in itself somewhat rare. I'm very fond of the 'In a Beautiful Place...' single though.
Looking forward to the new Bong Ra (sp?) disc on Adnoiseam, grindcore heaven.

nice. Bong Ra rarely puts cd's out, so this one should be a gem. If you haven't checked it out, check out the Lapsed release 'twilight' that was put out by AdNoiseam last year. Not bad at all.

Yeah, I checked out the clips from that Lapsed disc a while back. Pretty good. I always think about picking it up when I order from adnoiseam, but they've always got a few others I want more... Have you heard the bong-ra clips?

Yeah, I got the c.d. version adnoiseam released. Don't listen to it that much, but it's a good listen once in a while. Sadly my fav. Curtis Chip song wasn't included on the re-release (despite all the extras). 'non-working mouth' from the Dura Matters comp., what a great song.

Look at the 50s. Jazz musicians were coming out with four records a year. I have nothing against Aaron Funk's way of releasing records.

yes, that is one of the things i'm talking about. I believe both of them have been in the 'family' mode as of late by getting married and having children, so perhaps that might be why. It would just be nice to see a message on the site though.
...I mean, look at all the shit they've re-released in the time they said they'd be working on a new album. I completely understand why 'twoism' was re-released (because of the 700-1200 dollar bids on ebay), but why 'music has the right'? or even 'hi-scores'? I know they may be in demand, but still...
