Ravi Shankar

Anbody else dig em? I got The Sounds of India and I am waiting for The SOunds of the Sitar and Chants of India. I like it alot, it's fun music for relaxing judging by the one I have (so far).

I just got Chants of India and I LOVE IT! It's just amazing. Still no fans of Ravi around here?

I need to bum this. I really like Ravi Shankar and I am surprised that there are no fans of him on RM. Unless of course there are and this bump is useful...

sorry gery, don't really listen to the meditative/atmospheric indian stuff.

the fast intricate polyrythm percussion and string work is what I like from India.

That and the breakbeat fusion and other electronic indian crossover too.

Love him. Inherited a record of a concert he played in the Kremlin. Unreal. Interestingly it sounds really cool if you turn it up to 48 rpms.

Forgot how slowly the world/folk forum tends to move... In any event I just got Sounds of India (from my math teacher oddly enough) and I love it.
