Wow this topic is ancient. Considering someone revived it (I got a notification email) my oppinions on this have changed.

Shpongle is still my favorite, but I don't consider them trance
Infected mushroom is good, but doesnt hold true to principles of "goa" trance anymore.
My new list:
Astral Projection (for the layers)
Man with No Name (for epic builds and catchy melodies)
The Wonderboy (For the classic sound)
Listened to Ioniphonic with Live 10/11/2008

man with no name was the shit back in the late 90's.

green nuns of the revolution and Prana could easily go in this category.

astral projection was good too

...and welcome back, haven't seen you around in forever!

Oh, green nuns. How could I forget. It's a shame they only released one full album. That was some psytrance with attitude. I think it fits a psychedelic theme better too since psychedelics are happy/crazy like the green nuns, not dark and pretentious like some other psytrance (Dark Soho, Hallucinogen).

Yeah, I completely forgot about this forum since I moved over to livepa.org (and wasn't this forum offline for a bit of renovations?) for all my hardware and composition talk. If it wasn't for the auto notify and the fact that I was still subscribed to this topic I probably would never have returned!

yeah, this place goes off and on, but it's been more on as of late.

yeah, Green Nuns as a whole, was something I'd never really heard before. Loved it when I first heard it and still go back to it from time to time...the only one of the three that still really does a lot is Matt Coldrick.

if you haven't checked out Prana's 'Geomantik', you should. It's one of those that are timeless in Goa Trance.

that's a link to the remaster version, it originally came out in 1997.
