Exclamation Peer2Peer : 50 french people got busted...

... randomly, during the last five months...

I think you won't see me anymore in any peer2peer. Now it has become much too dangerous here...

Now people who get busted go straight to jail.

I'm simply speechless...

I think this is the beginning of the end...

peer 2 peer is the most common type of online file sharing. it's the backbone method of all the programs like soulseek and kazaa

50 doesn't seem like a great amount, they're just trying to scare the people just like they did here. Also, i bet you they were all on the same p2p program.

better question.

how MUCH stuff were they sharing?

did they just get random people and end up picking off a few who only had a few mp3s? or did all 50 have every known album from the last 10 years and a copy of every major movie from the last few months?

I learned that they were sharing between 3,000 and 4,000 mp3 files. This what they call "big users"... Come on, I was sharing a lot more than that!

I have no infos about what they were sharing exactly. I assume they were sharing very well-known and very recent songs... Let's say I hope that's what they were sharing! (The music I like is not sold any longer anywhere, so I think that's a kind of extenuating circumstance for me... They can't make any more money with that stuff!)

Anyway I don't want to play again with this. The people they busted never tried to make money with what they had downloaded... Now it's serious...

I love my life, I don't want to know what life is like in jail.
