I like them but they are a bit cheesy -just like those beautiful gangsta rap melodies-
It's weird but I guess american cheesyness has also arrived to the world of IDM.

I'm not going to disagree with that. A lot of it is more about the process than the music.

i find it to be transforming. like being put into another dimension. i find that i can be put into places ive never been able to go to through some of the Schematic stuff...it's more of an experience. unreal.
shapes and organisms trying to devour your soul.

SCHEMATIC my friend is more surreal than anything. It´s a journey to a forced microchip. Not many organisms, since their music is completelly unorganic, mechanic, metallic and artificial.
Sorry my friend, Schematic ain´t my stuff, too American maybe...
By the way, who is that smiling Beach Volleyball Player on the picture, is it you?

but not all schematic has the same sound. Take Glen Velez's "Internal Combustion". Lovely album of hand drumming. You should try it sometime.

well, i'm sure Otto and Dino Felipe were highly influenced by the sound of Devine. Phonecia's "Brownout" lacks that sound though (in my opinion). It's much more dark.

Suits you sir!

Back in my trance days me and my friends always thought that many of the US produced tracks were good but too cheesy. Take BT, "movements in still life". An awesome producer but very much cheesy euphoric.
It can't be all like that though. Devine to me is not cheesy at all. Yeah, he's very much about processes but it still has the elements of music. Totally experimental although you can still pick put some of his influences.
