There is only three of them and they still porduce tracks with other people with the name NERD.

Producers aren't a band.
They produce.
To my knowlege, there has never been a track ever released by 'The Neptunes', but there have been tracks 'featuring' the neptunes, probably because they actually produced them.
And the produces (the neptunes) are only two people, not three.

The Neptunes= 2 people, PRODUCERS

NERD = 3 people, BAND

The Neptunes have a few CD's of their own.

NERD do produce music for other people as well using the name, NERD not neptunes.

Yeah, The Neptunes have their own CD's.

NERD have done a shit load of songs. I don't have any examples though sorry.

n.e.r.d. are chad, pharrell, and that chinese bloke
but they make songs for themselves and use a group called spymob to make the songs
