I so incredibly hate my ignorance in this area, but I don't know what else to do.
I have to get my song off my minidisc recorder, onto my laptop, and finally converted to an mp3. I can't download itunes because I only have Windows 98. And I am not aware of any other free software that will do what I need.
ANY and all advice would be greatly appreciated. And worth it, kuz it's a purty song.
Thanks heaps in advance!

[edit]I downloaded something called "CD-DA X-Tractor". Looks like it rips CDs also which is good. I just need to fiddle with it and see if it can convert a .wav to an .mp3. Wish me luck, I'm sure I'll come back here whining when I can't freakin figure it out.[edit]
[edit#2]Well I got a simple, free, windows 98 compatible program off download.com called "wav to mp3 encoder".......good god almighty how freakin simple was that? I would delete this post out of sheer embarrassment if I didn't think it might help another 'tard like me in the future. Anyway, I think I just made an ass out of myself here, so I appreciate that I did NOT get any replies that would remove doubt from said thought. Blaargh.[/edit#2]
