What Made You Get Into Electronic Music?
What band/group/artist not associated with electronics turn you on to the genre and why?
I got a NIN single called Things Falling Apart that made me go crazy wondering how they made those sounds and did this and that and etc. After I heard that single I asked a freind about the genre and he told to go pick up some Aphex Twin. I went and got Aphex Twin's 26 Mixes For Cash and at first I didnt know what to think of it, but I liked. After a little learning curve it grew on me quick, and now Im obsessed with the genre.

Nothing "made" me get into the music, it was just the appeal of something different, and the rest was history.

Finding an artist that doesn't use electronic equipment is tough. Even Britney Spears could be considered electronic - she's just singing over synths.
I guess I just grew up with it... it was always on the radio, in movies, on TV...
Michael Jackson and Madonna definitely helped get house and disco breaks in my head at an early age.

I grew up with it too..
When I was a kid I was into Kraftwerk, The Human League and JM Jarre. Later on I became a metalhead and rediscovered electronic through Sheep on Drugs, Skinny Puppy, FLA etc.

Mp3/Filesharing is the sole reason why I am into electronic music at all.
edit: meaning before that, I only listened to pop
