Question Good MP3 players?

I recently downloaded Winamp 3 which is kind of cool but it takes for ever to load. I know this has nothing to do with my computer as my friend just bought a bradn new computer and the same applies to him.

Is there any other mp3 players that have the same features but take less time to load?I don't really care about the visual effects or anything like that, but just something that works and looks half decent.

Thanks.

Too be totally honest. (this make get me shunned from now on) I generally only use Standard windows media player to listen to MP3's through my PC. Then when I have enough I burn them to CD.

I am looking at getting a portable MP3 player if anyone can recommend.

I've got an iRiver SlimX.

It's really cool. It plays CD's, CD-R's,CD-RW, MP3-CD's and radio. You should check it out. I think this is the web site: www.iriver.com

I got it because it was the best value compared to the others and it had lots of good support from profesionals and every day people. I'don't think it would be as good as a hard drive MP3 player but it still kicks arse!

1 MP3-CD still stores 10 hours of music too.

I`m very happy with my little real player . I`m not a p2p user and don`t listen to much mp3, but this handles just about every format I need. What`s the extra features on stand alones? Better sound?

There's a good review on it at:
www.cnet.com

That was one of the main reasons why I got it (cnet review). I hadn't even heard of iriver before then, but apparently it's a quality brand just starting to get recognition. I paid $A 375 so I guess that's about 135 Pounds.

Haakon:

What do you mean when you say "What's the extra features on stand alones? Better sound?"
