Ha ha ha!

Oh yeah, that makes sense then! I was originally talking about software mp3 players but then I started explaining my hardware mp3 player to basshead. I thought you were also talking about a hardware player because I think you can get real player hardware players as well.

That smiley is funny by the way!

AlbumPlayer

Did anyone tried the AlbumPlayer (www.albumplayer.com) . It is a nice player when you like to browse through your album covers and then play them. I like Winamp too, but now I only use it for single files or playlists.

I don't like Windows Media Player. I only use it for single files and playlists, too (like PKoper w/ Winamp). I used MusicMatch Jukebox for a while, because it was compact. But it was similar to Windows MP, so I ditched it.

Today I use RealOne Player, and it's easy, looks nice, but doesn't work too quickly. You can surf the Net from a built-in browser, customize visualizations, burn CDs from it, attach a device, and search through your database efficiently. You can customize your music files display, and you'll never have to resort to finding them on your hard drive because it imports them for you.

The albumplayer were I was talking about does not look for mp3 files itself, but when you added the files of the album, it has a mechanism to search the files again when you placed them in a different directory. It also has some caching mechanism wich makes it possible to play recently played albums from harddisk when you archived them on cd. This helped me a lot because my harddisk was not to big to keep all my mp3 albums.

You get CD players that are MP3 compatible now so you can put alot of MP3s on a CD and it will play them.

Pretty cool huh?

Yes that is pretty nice too. I like those players a lot more, then the players with compact flash etc. I like to have one in my car but too expensive so far for me
