itunes help
Well my hardrive is running low on space, about a gig and a half left, and lately itunes has been acting weird. I'll put on a song and go do something, like check out a webpage, and the songs will start skipping and getting out of order. I'm not really sure what the cause of this is since it also happens with winamp but with winamp it's only if i'm opening up a game or something and it's only for a second that it skips then its back to normal. One thing I thought it might be is ram, but I maxed out my ram on this computer earlier this year so the only thing I could come up with is the amount of room on my hardrive.
Any help is appreciated

Your problem is that you are using itunes, but i know that isn't exactly what you want to hear.
One suggestion i could give is that your computer may rely on virtual ram (using space as ram, though not the same) and since your low on hd space maybe ...blah.
Ok, basically what i'm saying is try freeing up about a gig and see if it still does that, if so then i suggest buying a secondary storage device. Hard drives are not that expensive.

I thought your advice would help jez since thats what I was thinking of doing on my own, but I cleared up about 5 gigs last night and the lag situation is no better.
Anyone else have any other ideas as to what it could be?

When did you last de-frag your hard disk? I had a similar problem with Napster on my laptop. It had been fine, but then I got the same kind of problems as you. I put in a gig of RAM (up from 256), cleared a lot of space on the drive, but nothing changed. Checked de-frag and data was all over the place, something like 75% fragmented. Ran de-frag, problem solved, or at least usable again.
