My husband...yeah, husband...meaning, male species...likes Britney Spears, Play, 'NSync, Backstreet Boys...yeah, I know, many people have questioned his sexuality (including myself). He gets an F. I would never subject myself to any of those harmful electromagnetic waves that they call music. I honestly believe in brainwashing...

We generally dislike the same stuff, Rap, wannabe indy, cheesey biker rock, yuppie soudtrack singer songwriter crap, and pop country.
But I'm a musician and hear more technical ability in music.
Although we both have an ear for the Avante Gard, she leans more to straight progressive styles like electronic, I do to, but am big on Avant Gard, and progressive music regardless of genre, and based more on musical performance instrumentally.
The really experimental dissonant stuff she doesn't like, and some of the more style over substance stuff she likes I don't, but for the most part we respect each other's taste in music.
I'm just glad she's really into music as apposed to the "I like all kinds of music" in different types.
